All Fonds BKVB grants are intended for individuals. However, visual artists, designers, architects and cultural mediators who are part of a collective or a multi-disciplinary team are also welcome to apply to the Fonds BKVB. In addition to work-related criteria, there are also a number of formal conditions applicants must satisfy in order to qualify for a grant. For example, all applicants must be resident in the Netherlands and if they are not Dutch nationals they must have a valid residence permit entitling them to apply for public funds.

Furthermore, basic stipends, starter stipends and practice grants are all subject to an income ceiling.
